What it does

The video lightbox keeps video off your page until someone actually asks for it. A thumbnail with a play badge sits in the content; tap it and the video opens big, centered, over a dimmed page. Your page stays light; the video stays optional.

How it works

1. 1Pick the trigger, a poster image with a play badge or a plain Watch the video button.
2. 2Pick the overlay, plain dark or softly blurred.
3. 3Copy the prompt, one paste-ready block for your AI, into whichever AI you use.
4. 4Point the marked spot at your video and give it a real poster image, a frame that sells the click.
5. 5Test the flow: click to open, press play yourself, then close with Escape and land back at the trigger, focus and all.
6. 6Check a phone too: the player should use nearly the full width, with the close button easy to hit.

What you can customize

• Thumbnail: the poster image sells the video with a frame from it; the plain button suits text-heavy pages.
• Overlay style: dark is the classic cinema dim; blurred keeps a ghost of your page visible behind, gracefully falling back to plain dark on older browsers.
