What it does
The cookie banner nobody hates: one plain sentence, an Accept and a Decline of exactly equal size, and a link to your privacy page. Then it gets out of the way, for good. Consent should be a question, not a hostage situation.
- Nothing non-essential loads before a choice is made, and the site works fully either way.
- Declining is exactly as easy as accepting: same taps, same size, same prominence.
- Guilt wording, pre-ticked boxes, and hidden declines are banned as dark patterns.
- The wording is one human sentence, not a wall of legal text.
- On small screens the buttons stack, both still full size, and the banner never permanently covers your content.
- The choice is remembered for at least 6 months; the banner never comes back.
- A little hook lets a footer Cookie settings link reopen it anytime.
How it works
- 1Pick the position, a slim bar along the bottom or a compact corner card.
- 2Choose the detail level, accept and decline only, or with a small preferences panel.
- 3Copy the prompt, the banner's full how-to for your AI, into whichever AI you use.
- 4Write your one honest sentence about what cookies you use, and point the link at your privacy page.
- 5Test both choices in two visits: decline should work as smoothly as accept, and neither should ever show the banner again.
- 6Tab through it once: both buttons and the privacy link should be reachable and clearly outlined by keyboard.
What you can customize
- Position: the bottom bar is the classic; the corner card feels lighter and covers less of the page while it waits.
- Detail level: simple is two buttons and done; preferences adds per-category toggles, everything off by default except essentials.
- Wording, colors, and buttons adapt to your site automatically, because your AI builds the banner right inside your own design, politely.
